Ozark City is one of the city of Dale County, Alabama, located towards the Southern Region (East South Central) of United States. As per the 2000 census, city has a population of 15119 inhabitants. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 14711, It is the 34th largest in terms of population. The city comprises an area of 34.49 mi˛ (89.33 sq km), of which, 34.24 square miles (88.68 sq km) of it is land and 0.24 square miles (0.62 sq km) of it is water, makes it the 24th largest by total area in Alabama.

As of the census of 2000, there were 15119 residents, 6126 households, and 4232 families in the city. The population density was 441.5 people per square mile (170.46/km˛), making its Alabama's 164th most densely populated city. The racial makeup of the city was 10323 White, 4279 Black or African American, 102 American Indian, 106 Asian, 8 Native Hawaiian, 232 from two or more races and 69 Ohter races.
