Oxford City is a city located in Calhoun and Talladega counties, Alabama, in the Southern Region (East South Central) of United States. The city has a population of 14592 as per the 2000 census data. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 20622, making it Alabama's 37th largest. Its area is just over 18.31 sq mi (47.42 kmē), of which, 18.24 square miles (47.24 kmē) of it is land and 0.07 square miles (0.18 kmē) of it is water, giving it the 57th largest by total area among Alabama.

The population density was 800.1 people per square mile (308.92/kmē), it is the 73rd most densely populated city in the U.S. state of Alabama.
