Owen County is a county in the United States of Indiana. As of 2000 the population was 21786. Its population was estimated at 22375 in July 2008, making it Indiana's 25th smallest county. It covers total area of 387.83 sq mi (1004.48 sq km), of which, 385.18 square miles (997.61 sq km) of it is land and 2.65 square miles (6.86 sq km) of it is water, it is the 56th largest in terms of geographical size.

As of July 2008, the estimated population of the county is 22375, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 21912 White, 112 Black or African American, 91 American Indian, 58 Asian, 4 Native Hawaiian, and 198 from two or more races.
