Owasso City is a city located in the Tulsa and Rogers counties, Oklahoma, United States. The population of the city was 18502 as per the 2000 census data. Its population was estimated at 27467 in July 2008, It is the 22nd most populous in the U.S. state of Oklahoma. The city extends throughout a territory of 10.05 square miles (26.03 sq km ), of which, 10.03 square miles (25.98 sq km) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 sq km) of it is water, making it Oklahoma's 107th largest by total area.

As of the census of 2000, there were 18502 residents, 6595 households, and 5120 families in the city. The population density was 1844.4 people per square mile (712.13/kmē), it is 29th most densely populated city in Oklahoma. There were 7004 housing units at an average density of 698.3 per square mile (269.62/kmē). The average household size was 2.76 and the average family size was 3.19. In the city the population was spread out, with 32.3% under the age of 18, 7.6% from 18 to 24, 33.7% from 25 to 44, 17.6% from 45 to 64, and 8.8% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 93.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 89.5 males.
