Ottawa County is a United States county located in the United States of Oklahoma. As per the 2000 census, county has a population of 33194 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the county is 31849, It is the 32nd largest county by population in the U.S. state of Oklahoma. It covers total area of 484.73 sq mi (1255.44 square kilometre), of which, 471.32 square miles (1220.71 square kilometre) of it is land and 13.41 square miles (34.73 square kilometre) of it is water, making it Oklahoma's fourth smallest county by total area.

As of the census of 2000, there were 33194 people in the county, organized into 12984 households, and 9121 families living in the county. The population density was 70.4 people per square mile (27.18/kmē), it is the 13th most densely populated county in the U.S. state of Oklahoma. There were 14842 housing units at an average density of 31.5 per square mile (12.16/kmē). The average household size was 2.48 and the average family size was 2.98. In the county the population was spread out, with 25.7% under the age of 18, 9.7% from 18 to 24, 24.8% from 25 to 44, 22.9% from 45 to 64, and 16.9% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 94.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 90.1 males. The July 2008 population estimate is 31849, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 23647 White, 309 Black or African American, 5358 American Indian, 170 Asian, 93 Native Hawaiian, and 2272 from two or more races.
