Osprey Cdp, Sarasota County, Florida is a census designated place located in the Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. In 2000, the population was 4143. It is the 474th largest in terms of population. It has total area of 6.07 mi˛ (15.72 square kilometre), of which, 5.46 square miles (14.14 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.61 square miles (1.58 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 291st largest by area in the U.S. state of Florida.
