Osceola County is a United States county located in the United States of Michigan. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the Osceola County is home to 23197 inhabitants. In July 2008, its estimated population was 22930, It is Michigan's 22nd least populous county. The county extends throughout a territory of 573.1 square miles (1484.32 kmē ), of which, 565.98 square miles (1465.88 kmē) of it is land and 7.12 square miles (18.44 kmē) of it is water, it is the 16th smallest by area in the U.S. state of Michigan.

The population density was 41 people per square mile (15.83/kmē), it is 26th least densely populated county in Michigan. In the county Population was distributed with 27.1% under the age of 18, 8% from 18 to 24, 26.5% from 25 to 44, 24.2% from 45 to 64, and 14.2% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 97.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 94.7 males. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 22930, The racial makeup of the county was 22259 White, 163 Black or African American, 140 American Indian, 55 Asian, 5 Native Hawaiian, and 308 from two or more races.
