Osceola County, Iowa is a county of the United States of Iowa. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 7003 inhabitants. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 6444, making it Iowa's sixth smallest county. It is spread over 399.48 mi˛ (1034.65 square kilometre), of which, 398.77 square miles (1032.81 square kilometre ) of it is land and 0.71 square miles (1.84 square kilometre) of it is water, giving it the smallest by total area among Iowa's county.

The county's estimated population as of July 2008 was 6444, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 98.54% White, 0.33% Black or African American, 0.36% American Indian, 0.25% Asian, 0.02% Native Hawaiian, and 0.51% from two or more races.
