Oregon is a state of the United States. As of 2000 the population was 3421399. The state's estimated population as of July 2008 was 3790060, making it United States's 28th largest. The state encompasses an area of 98380.64 sq mi (254804.69 sq km ), of which, 95996.79 square miles (248630.54 sq km) of it is land and 2383.85 square miles (6174.14 sq km) of it is water, it is the ninth largest by area in the U.S. state of America. It is ranks 19 in the size of its inland waterways in United States.

For every 100 females there were 98.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 96.2 males. The median age is 36.3 years, The median age of males was 35.1 years, for females the median age was 37.5 years. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 3421399, The racial or ethnic makeup of the state was 2961623 White, 55662 Black or African American, 45211 American Indian, 101350 Asian, 7976 Native Hawaiian, 104745 from two or more races and 144832 Ohter races.
