Opp City is a city located in Covington County, Alabama, in the Southern Region (East South Central) of United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 6607 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the city is 6582, making it the 84th most populous in Alabama. The city has a total area of 18.02 square miles (46.67 square kilometre), of which, 17.15 square miles (44.42 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.87 square miles (2.25 square kilometre) of it is water, makes it the 58th largest by total area in Alabama. It is ranks 18 in the size of its inland waterways in Alabama.
