Onslow County is a county in the United States of North Carolina. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the Onslow County is home to 150355 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 165938, It is 12th most populous county in North Carolina. The county encompasses an area of 908.56 mi˛ (2353.16 sq km ), of which, 766.82 square miles (1986.05 sq km) of it is land and 141.74 square miles (367.1 sq km) of it is water, making it the tenth largest by size in North Carolina. It is ranks eighth in the size of its inland waterways in North Carolina.

The county's estimated population as of July 2008 was 165938, The racial makeup of the county was 76.75% White, 17.4% Black or African American, 0.75% American Indian, 1.96% Asian, 0.19% Native Hawaiian, and 2.94% from two or more races.
