Oneida County is a county located in the United States of Wisconsin. The population of the county was 36776 as per the 2000 census data. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the county is 36031, It is the 40th largest in terms of population. It has total area of 1235.88 sq mi (3200.91 kmē), of which, 1124.5 square miles (2912.44 kmē) of it is land and 111.38 square miles (288.47 kmē) of it is water, it is the 12th largest by area in the U.S. state of Wisconsin.

The population density was 32.7 people per square mile (12.63/kmē), it is the 47th most densely populated county in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. There were 26627 housing units at an average density of 23.7 per square mile (9.15/kmē). The average household size was 2.34 and the average family size was 2.82. In the county the population was spread out, with 22.3% under the age of 18, 5.7% from 18 to 24, 26.5% from 25 to 44, 26.8% from 45 to 64, and 18.7% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 99.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 97.3 males. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 36031, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 35052 White, 211 Black or African American, 299 American Indian, 165 Asian, 19 Native Hawaiian, and 285 from two or more races.
