Oneida County is a county in the United States of Idaho. In 2000, the population was 4125. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 4130, It is the sixth smallest county by population in the U.S. state of Idaho. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 1201.61 sq mi (3112.16 sq km), of which, 1200.33 square miles (3108.84 sq km) of it is land and 1.28 square miles (3.32 sq km) of it is water, making it the 26th largest by size in Idaho.

The population density was 3.4 people per square mile (1.31/kmē), it is tenth least densely populated county in Idaho. There were 1755 housing units at an average density of 1.5 per square mile (0.58/kmē). The average household size was 2.85 people, and the average family size was 3.35 people. The population's age distribution was 32% under the age of 18, 7.7% from 18 to 24, 23.1% from 25 to 44, 21.4% from 45 to 64, and 15.9% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 103.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 100.4 males. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 4130, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 4071 White, 5 Black or African American, 17 American Indian, 7 Asian, 3 Native Hawaiian, and 27 from two or more races.
