Oneida City is one of the city of Madison County, New York, located towards the Northeastern Region (Mid-Atlantic) of United States. Oneida City had an official population of 10987 in 2000. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 10723, giving it the 171st largest population among New York. The city extends throughout a territory of 22.08 mi˛ (57.19 sq km ), of which, 22.03 square miles (57.06 sq km) of it is land and 0.05 square miles (0.13 sq km) of it is water, making it the 13th largest by size in New York.
