Onalaska City is a city in the La Crosse County, Wisconsin, United States. Onalaska City had an official population of 14839 in 2000. In July 2008, its estimated population was 16778, It is Wisconsin's 47th largest by population . The city encompasses an area of 9.68 mi˛ (25.07 square kilometre ), of which, 9.09 square miles (23.54 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.58 square miles (1.5 square kilometre) of it is water, makes it the 60th largest by total area in Wisconsin.
