Olympia City is one of the city of Thurston County, Washington, located towards the Western Region (Pacific) of United States. The city has a population of 42514 as per the 2000 census data. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 45322, giving it the 17th largest population among Washington. The city encompasses an area of 18.52 square miles (47.97 kmē ), of which, 16.71 square miles (43.28 kmē) of it is land and 1.81 square miles (4.69 kmē) of it is water, making it the 32nd largest by size in Washington.
