Olmito Cdp is a census designated place located in Cameron County, Texas, in the Southern Region (West South Central) of United States. As of 2000 the population was 1198. It is the 843rd largest by population in the U.S. state of Texas. The census designated place encompasses an area of 0.69 mi˛ (1.79 sq km ), of which, 0.67 square miles (1.74 sq km) of it is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 sq km) of it is water, makes it the 181st smallest by total area in Texas.

As of the census of 2000, there were 1198 people, 303 households, and 271 families living in the census designated place.
