Olivette City is a city located in the St. Louis County, Missouri, United States. As of 2000 the population was 7438. In July 2008, its estimated population was 7449, making it Missouri's 96th largest. The city extends throughout a territory of 2.79 mi˛ (7.23 square kilometre ), it is the 205th largest in terms of geographical size.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 7438 people, 3096 households, and 2172 families residing in the city. The population density was 2667.5 people per square mile (1029.93/km˛), making its Missouri's 73rd most densely populated city. In the city the population was spread out, with 23.8% under the age of 18, 5.8% from 18 to 24, 25.4% from 25 to 44, 27.7% from 45 to 64, and 17.3% who were 65 or older. For every 100 males there were 112.3 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 118.4 females.
