Oldham County is a county in the United States of Kentucky. In 2000, county's population was 46178 inhabitants. Its population was estimated at 56874 in July 2008, It is the 16th largest county by population in the U.S. state of Kentucky. It is spread over 196.54 square miles (509.04 square kilometre), of which, 189.19 square miles (490 square kilometre ) of it is land and 7.36 square miles (19.06 square kilometre) of it is water, giving it the 13th smallest by total area among Kentucky's county.

In the county Population was distributed with 27.4% under the age of 18, 6.9% from 18 to 24, 33.1% from 25 to 44, 25.6% from 45 to 64, and 7% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 114 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 117.9 males. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the county is 56874, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 92.83% White, 4.97% Black or African American, 0.2% American Indian, 0.97% Asian, 0.01% Native Hawaiian, and 1.01% from two or more races.
