Olathe City is a United States city located in the Johnson County, Kansas, United States. Olathe City had an official population of 92962 in 2000. The city's estimated population as of July 2008 was 119993, making it Kansas's fifth largest. The city comprises an area of 54.47 square miles (141.08 square kilometre), of which, 54.16 square miles (140.27 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.3 square miles (0.78 square kilometre) of it is water, makes it the fifth largest by total area in Kansas. It is ranks 11 in the size of its inland waterways in Kansas.
