Oklahoma County, Oklahoma is a county located in the Southern Region (West South Central) of United States. As per the 2000 census, county has a population of 660448 inhabitants. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 706617, It is the largest county by population in the U.S. state of Oklahoma. It is spread over 718.31 mi˛ (1860.41 sq km), of which, 709.09 square miles (1836.53 sq km ) of it is land and 9.22 square miles (23.88 sq km) of it is water, making it the 51st largest by size in Oklahoma.

As of the census of 2000, there were 660448 people in the county, organized into 266834 households, and 170663 families living in the county. The population density was 931.4 people per square mile (359.62/km˛), giving it the second most densely populated county among the Oklahoma. There were 295020 housing units at an average density of 416.1 per square mile (160.66/km˛). It has an average household size was 2.41 persons, and the average family size was 3.02 persons. Age range in the county was well distributed with 25.6% under the age of 18, 10.9% from 18 to 24, 30% from 25 to 44, 21.4% from 45 to 64, and 12.2% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 94.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 90.8 males. Its population was estimated at 706617 in July 2008, The racial makeup of the county was 528163 White, 110310 Black or African American, 23697 American Indian, 23842 Asian, 978 Native Hawaiian, and 19627 from two or more races.
