Okemah City, Okfuskee County, Oklahoma is a city located in the Southern Region (West South Central) of United States. It is home to over 3038 people (2000 census). The city's estimated population as of July 2008 was 2911, making it Oklahoma's 104th largest. It has total area of 2.66 sq mi (6.89 sq km), of which, 2.6 square miles (6.73 sq km) of it is land and 0.07 square miles (0.18 sq km) of it is water, it is the 253rd largest by area in the U.S. state of Oklahoma.

As of the census of 2000, there were 3038 people in the city, organized into 1242 households, and 764 families residing in the city. The population density was 1170.5 people per square mile (451.93/kmē), making its Oklahoma's 133rd most densely populated city. There were 1506 housing units at an average density of 579.2 per square mile (223.63/kmē). It has an average household size was 2.35 persons, and the average family size was 3.04 persons.
