Oil City City is one of the city of Venango County, Pennsylvania, located towards the Northeastern Region (Mid-Atlantic) of United States. In 2000, the population was 11504. In July 2008, its estimated population was 10598, It is the 86th largest in terms of population. The city spans an area of 4.73 square miles (12.25 sq km), of which, 4.51 square miles (11.68 sq km) of it is land and 0.22 square miles (0.57 sq km) of it is water, makes it the 119th largest by total area in Pennsylvania.
