Oceanport Borough is a United States borough located in the Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States. As per the 2000 census, borough has a population of 5807 inhabitants. Its population was estimated at 5733 in July 2008, It is the 264th largest in terms of population. The borough extends throughout a territory of 3.86 mi˛ (10 sq km ), of which, 3.22 square miles (8.34 sq km) of it is land and 0.63 square miles (1.63 sq km) of it is water, it is the 148th largest by area in the U.S. state of New Jersey.

As of the census of 2000, there were 5807 people, 457 households, and 284 families residing in the borough. The population density was 1802.1 people per square mile (695.79/km˛), it is 145th least densely populated borough in New Jersey. There were 2114 housing units at an average density of 656.5 per square mile (253.48/km˛). It has an average household size was 2.71 persons, and the average family size was 3.18 persons. In the borough Population was distributed with 24.5% under the age of 18, 8.4% from 18 to 24, 25.5% from 25 to 44, 27.4% from 45 to 64, and 14.2% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 98.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 96 males. The median age of the borough's population was 40.5 years, the median age of male residents at 38.9 and the median age of female residents at 42.3. The racial makeup of the borough was 95.71% White, 1.96% Black or African American, 0.07% American Indian, 0.79% Asian, 0.02% Native Hawaiian, 0.9% from two or more races and 0.55% Other races.
