Oakland Town is a one of the Yalobusha County, Mississippi, located in Southern Region (East South Central) of United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 586 inhabitants. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 601, making it Mississippi's 106th smallest. It is spread over 1.43 mi˛ (3.7 square kilometre), it is the 214th largest by area in the U.S. state of Mississippi.
