Oakland City is a one of the Pottawattamie County, Iowa, located in Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. As of 2000 the population was 1487. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 1417, It is the 200th largest in terms of population. The city extends throughout a territory of 1.52 square miles (3.94 kmē ), of which, 1.51 square miles (3.91 kmē) of it is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 kmē) of it is water, it is the 240th largest by area in the U.S. state of Iowa.
