Oak Grove City is a city located in Anoka County, Minnesota, in the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. It is home to over 6903 people (2000 census). As of July 2008, the estimated population of the city is 8245, It is the 106th largest by population in the U.S. state of Minnesota. The city extends throughout a territory of 35.01 sq mi (90.68 kmē ), of which, 33.7 square miles (87.28 kmē) of it is land and 1.32 square miles (3.42 kmē) of it is water, it is the 30th largest by area in the U.S. state of Minnesota.

As of the census of 2000, there were 6903 people in the city, organized into 2200 households, and 1883 families residing in the city. The population density was 204.9 people per square mile (79.11/kmē), it is Minnesota's 181st least densely populated city. There were 2232 housing units at an average density of 66.2 per square mile (25.56/kmē). The average household size was 3.11 and the average family size was 3.33.
