Noxubee County is a county in the United States of Mississippi. Noxubee County had an official population of 12548 in 2000. Its population was estimated at 11828 in July 2008, It is the 16th smallest county by population in the U.S. state of Mississippi. It covers total area of 700.05 mi˛ (1813.12 sq km), of which, 694.79 square miles (1799.5 sq km) of it is land and 5.26 square miles (13.62 sq km) of it is water, it is the 22nd largest by area in the U.S. state of Mississippi.

The population density was 18.1 people per square mile (6.99/km˛), it would be the seventh least densely populated county in the U.S. state of Mississippi. In the county Population was distributed with 30.7% under the age of 18, 10.3% from 18 to 24, 26.7% from 25 to 44, 19.5% from 45 to 64, and 12.8% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 90.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 84.6 males. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 11828, The racial makeup of the county was 29.61% White, 69.44% Black or African American, 0.24% American Indian, 0.17% Asian, 0% Native Hawaiian, and 0.55% from two or more races.
