Nowata County, Oklahoma is a county of the United States of Oklahoma. The county has a population of 10569 as per the 2000 census data. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 10729, making it Oklahoma's 21st smallest county. Its area is just over 580.87 sq mi (1504.45 kmē), of which, 564.95 square miles (1463.21 kmē) of it is land and 15.92 square miles (41.23 kmē) of it is water, it is the 11th smallest in terms of geographical size.
