Nottoway County is a county located in Virginia, in the Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. The population of the county was 15725 as per the 2000 census data. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 15892, It is the 41st smallest in terms of population. The county spans an area of 316.1 miē (818.7 kmē), of which, 314.65 square miles (814.94 kmē) of it is land and 1.45 square miles (3.76 kmē) of it is water, it is the 68th largest by area in the U.S. state of Virginia.
