Norwood Town, Stanly County, North Carolina is a town located in the Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 2216 inhabitants. Its population was estimated at 2415 in July 2008, It is the 249th most populous in the U.S. state of North Carolina. It covers total area of 2.4 mi˛ (6.22 square kilometre), making it the 338th largest by size in North Carolina.
