Norwood Borough is a borough located in the Delaware County, Pennsylvania, United States. In 2000, the population was 5985. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 5774, It is 233rd most populous in Pennsylvania. It is spread over 0.83 mi˛ (2.15 square kilometre), of which, 0.8 square miles (2.07 square kilometre ) of it is land and 0.03 square miles (0.08 square kilometre) of it is water, making it Pennsylvania's 832nd largest by total area.

As of the census of 2000, there were 5985 people in the borough, organized into 2286 households, and 1537 families residing in the borough. The population density was 7484.3 people per square mile (2889.7/km˛), making its Pennsylvania's 41st most densely populated borough. There were 2363 housing units at an average density of 2953.8 per square mile (1140.47/km˛). The average household size was 2.62 and the average family size was 3.26. In the borough the population was distributed as follows: 26.3% under the age of 18, 7.7% from 18 to 24, 32.5% from 25 to 44, 21.5% from 45 to 64, and 12% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 94 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 90.8 males. The median age is 36.2 years, The median age of males was 35.4 years, for females the median age was 37 years. The racial or ethnic makeup of the borough was 5839 White, 66 Black or African American, 3 American Indian, 42 Asian, Native Hawaiian, 24 from two or more races and 11 Ohter races.
