Norton County, Kansas is a county of the United States of Kansas. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 5953 inhabitants. The July 2008 population estimate is 5370, It is the 65th most populous county in the U.S. state of Kansas. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 881.39 mi˛ (2282.79 sq km), of which, 877.84 square miles (2273.6 sq km) of it is land and 3.55 square miles (9.19 sq km) of it is water, giving it the 37th largest by total area among Kansas's county.
