Northumberland Borough is one of the borough of Northumberland County, Pennsylvania, located towards the Northeastern Region (Mid-Atlantic) of United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 3714 inhabitants. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 3512, It is Pennsylvania's 376th largest by population . The borough encompasses an area of 1.57 square miles (4.07 sq km), it is the 500th largest in terms of geographical size.
