North Wildwood City is a city located in the Cape May County, New Jersey, United States. North Wildwood City had an official population of 4935 in 2000. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 4800, It is the 286th most populous in the U.S. state of New Jersey. The city has a total area of 2.12 square miles (5.49 square kilometre), of which, 1.77 square miles (4.58 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.36 square miles (0.93 square kilometre) of it is water, making it New Jersey's 279th largest by total area.

As of the census of 2000, there were 4935 people, 457 households, and 284 families living in the city. The population density was 2794.6 people per square mile (1079/kmē), it is 261st most densely populated city in New Jersey. There were 7411 housing units at an average density of 4187 per square mile (1616.61/kmē). The average household size was 2.14 and the average family size was 2.73.
