According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the North Vacherie Cdp is home to 2411 inhabitants. It is the 169th largest by population in the U.S. state of Louisiana. It is spread over 11.62 mi˛ (30.1 sq km), of which, 11.01 square miles (28.52 sq km ) of it is land and 0.61 square miles (1.58 sq km) of it is water, making it the 43rd largest by size in Louisiana.
