North Muskegon City, Michigan


North Muskegon City is one of the city of Muskegon County, Michigan, located towards the Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. The population of the city was 4031 as per the 2000 census data. The city's estimated population as of July 2008 was 3915, making it Michigan's 208th largest. It is spread over 4.09 mi˛ (10.59 sq km), of which, 1.78 square miles (4.61 sq km ) of it is land and 2.31 square miles (5.98 sq km) of it is water, making it Michigan's 183rd largest by total area.

As of the census of 2000, there were 4031 people in the city, organized into 1610 households, and 1135 families residing in the city. The population density was 2259.2 people per square mile (872.28/km˛), giving it the 118th most densely populated city among the Michigan. There were 1685 housing units at an average density of 946.6 per square mile (365.48/km˛). The average household size was 2.41 persons, and the average family size was 2.92 persons. In the city the population is diverse age-wise, with 24.9% under the age of 18, 5.8% from 18 to 24, 23.4% from 25 to 44, 25.9% from 45 to 64, and 20.1% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 90.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 86.3 males. The median age was 42.6 years, The median age of males and females living in North Muskegon City was 41.1 and 43.9 years respectively. The racial or ethnic makeup of the city was 3919 White, 41 Black or African American, 8 American Indian, 15 Asian, 1 Native Hawaiian, 33 from two or more races and 14 Ohter races.
