North Little Rock City, Pulaski County, Arkansas is a city located in the Southern Region (West South Central) of United States. As of 2000 the population was 60433. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 59430, It is the third largest by population in the U.S. state of Arkansas. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 46.96 mi˛ (121.63 square kilometre), of which, 44.81 square miles (116.06 square kilometre) of it is land and 2.15 square miles (5.57 square kilometre) of it is water, making it Arkansas's fifth largest by total area. It is ranks second in the size of its inland waterways in Arkansas.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 60433 people, 25542 households, and 16128 families residing in the city. The population density was 1348.6 people per square mile (520.7/km˛), it is Arkansas's 35th most densely populated city. There were 27567 housing units at an average density of 615.2 per square mile (237.53/km˛). The average household size was 2.35 and the average family size was 2.97. In the city Age distribution was 25.5% under the age of 18, 9% from 18 to 24, 28.4% from 25 to 44, 22.5% from 45 to 64, and 14.6% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 87.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 82.9 males. The median age was 36.5 years, the median age of male residents at 34.6 and the median age of female residents at 38. The racial makeup of the city was 62.55% White, 33.98% Black or African American, 0.41% American Indian, 0.59% Asian, 0.03% Native Hawaiian, 1.26% from two or more races and 1.18% Other races.
