It is the 37th most populous in the U.S. state of New Hampshire. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the census designated place has a total area of 4.31 sq mi (11.16 sq km), of which, 4.28 square miles (11.09 sq km) of it is land and 0.03 square miles (0.08 sq km) of it is water, it is the 30th largest in terms of geographical size.
