North Chicago City is a one of the Lake County, Illinois, located in Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. North Chicago City had an official population of 35918 in 2000. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 32608, making it the 48th most populous in Illinois. It covers total area of 7.84 sq mi (20.31 kmē), of which, 7.83 square miles (20.28 kmē) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 kmē) of it is water, makes it the 115th largest by total area in Illinois.
