North Charleston City, Charleston and Dorchester counties, South Carolina is a city located in the Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. The city has a population of 79641 as per the 2000 census data. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 94407, It is the third most populous in the U.S. state of South Carolina. The city comprises an area of 62.08 square miles (160.79 square kilometre), of which, 58.54 square miles (151.62 square kilometre) of it is land and 3.54 square miles (9.17 square kilometre) of it is water, giving it the third largest by total area among South Carolina. It is ranks seventh in the size of its inland waterways in South Carolina.
