North Bennington Village, Bennington County, Vermont is a city located in the Northeastern Region (New England) of United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 1428 inhabitants. The city's estimated population as of July 2008 was 1326, It is 33rd most populous in Vermont. Its area is just over 1.89 square miles (4.9 kmē), of which, 1.87 square miles (4.84 kmē) of it is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 kmē) of it is water, making it Vermont's 31st largest by total area.

As of the census of 2000, there were 1428 people in the city, organized into 454 households, and 268 families living in the city. The population density was 763.4 people per square mile (294.75/kmē), giving it the 35th most densely populated city among the Vermont. There were 499 housing units at an average density of 266.8 per square mile (103.01/kmē). The average household size was 2.31 persons, and the average family size was 3.02 persons. In the city the population was distributed as follows: 20% under the age of 18, 27.1% from 18 to 24, 19.7% from 25 to 44, 17.9% from 45 to 64, and 15.3% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 73.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 67.3 males. The median age is 28.8 years, The median age of males was 29.4 years, for females the median age was 26.5 years. The racial makeup of the city was 95.38% White, 0.7% Black or African American, 0.14% American Indian, 1.68% Asian, 0.14% Native Hawaiian, 1.82% from two or more races and 0.14% Other races.
