North Belle Vernon Borough is a United States borough located in the Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, United States. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 2107 inhabitants. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the borough is 1949, giving it the 606th largest population among Pennsylvania. It is spread over 0.44 sq mi (1.14 square kilometre), it is the 258th smallest in terms of geographical size.

As of the census of 2000, there were 2107 people, 928 households, and 597 families residing in the borough. The population density was 4826.3 people per square mile (1863.44/kmē), making its Pennsylvania's 154th most densely populated borough. There were 992 housing units at an average density of 2254.5 per square mile (870.47/kmē). The average household size was 2.27 and the average family size was 2.88. In the borough the population was spread out, with 20.6% under the age of 18, 7.3% from 18 to 24, 26.9% from 25 to 44, 21.9% from 45 to 64, and 23.2% who were 65 or older. For every 100 males there were 120.2 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 128.4 females.
