It is 15th most populous in Georgia. The census designated place comprises an area of 7.71 mi˛ (19.97 sq km), of which, 7.65 square miles (19.81 sq km) of it is land and 0.06 square miles (0.16 sq km) of it is water, it is the 111th largest in terms of geographical size.
