Norman County is a county in the United States of Minnesota. As per the 2000 census, county has a population of 7442 inhabitants. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 6605, It is the 11th smallest in terms of population. The county extends throughout a territory of 876.82 square miles (2270.95 kmē ), of which, 876.27 square miles (2269.53 kmē) of it is land and 0.55 square miles (1.42 kmē) of it is water, making it Minnesota's 26th largest county by total area.

The population density was 8.5 people per square mile (3.28/kmē), it would be the tenth least densely populated county in the U.S. state of Minnesota. In the county Age distribution was 25.7% under the age of 18, 6.2% from 18 to 24, 24.1% from 25 to 44, 23% from 45 to 64, and 20.9% who were 65 or older. For every 100 males there were 101.4 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 103.3 females. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 6605, The racial makeup of the county was 6320 White, 16 Black or African American, 154 American Indian, 21 Asian, 0 Native Hawaiian, and 94 from two or more races.
