Norfolk City is a city located in Madison County, Nebraska, in the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. Norfolk City had an official population of 23516 in 2000. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 22940, giving it the ninth largest population among Nebraska. The city encompasses an area of 10.07 square miles (26.08 sq km ), of which, 9.97 square miles (25.82 sq km) of it is land and 0.1 square miles (0.26 sq km) of it is water, giving it the seventh largest by total area among Nebraska. It is ranks 13 in the size of its inland waterways in Nebraska.
