Niceville City is one of the city of Okaloosa County, Florida, located towards the Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. The population of city in 2000 stood at 11684 as per the Census data. The city's estimated population as of July 2008 was 12313, It is Florida's 238th largest by population . The city has a total area of 11.33 mi˛ (29.34 square kilometre), of which, 10.92 square miles (28.28 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.41 square miles (1.06 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 161st largest by area in the U.S. state of Florida.

The median age is 39.4 years, the median age of male residents at 38.3 and the median age of female residents at 40.4. The racial or ethnic makeup of the city was 10194 White, 535 Black or African American, 86 American Indian, 374 Asian, 13 Native Hawaiian, 349 from two or more races and 133 Ohter races.
