Newtown Borough is a borough in the Fairfield County, Connecticut, United States. As per the 2000 census, borough has a population of 1843 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 1807, It is 33rd least populous in Connecticut. The borough encompasses an area of 2.31 mi˛ (5.98 sq km), it is the 33rd smallest by area in the U.S. state of Connecticut.
