Newton City is a one of the Middlesex County, Massachusetts, located in Northeastern Region (New England) of United States. The population of the city was 83829 as per the 2000 census data. In July 2008, its estimated population was 82139, It is 11th most populous in Massachusetts. The city extends throughout a territory of 18.2 square miles (47.14 kmē ), of which, 18.05 square miles (46.75 kmē) of it is land and 0.15 square miles (0.39 kmē) of it is water, it is the 31st largest by area in the U.S. state of Massachusetts.
