Newton City is a city in the Harvey County, Kansas, United States. As per the 2000 census, city has a population of 17190 inhabitants. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 18133, It is the 23rd largest in terms of population. Its area is just over 9.58 square miles (24.81 kmē), it is the 23rd largest by area in the U.S. state of Kansas.
